Terms of Service

In case of any discrepancy between this English version and the original Korean terms, the Korean version governs.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using trynodemap ("the Service"), and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of members and the operator.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" means the mind-mapping web service provided by the operator.
• "Member" means a user who has logged in via Google, Kakao, or email authentication.
• "Content" means information such as mind map titles, nodes, and notes that a member creates within the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

These Terms take effect by being posted on the Service. The operator may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law, and will give advance notice of any change through an in-service notice or this page.

Article 4 (Provision and Modification of the Service)

The deployed Service (trynodemap.com) can be used after logging in. Each member may create up to 1 mind map for free; creating a second or more requires a one-time purchase of the "Unlimited Mind Map Plan." The Service may also be operated in part through advertising (including planned future advertising). The operator may change the content of the Service, and will give advance notice of any change that is disadvantageous to members.

Article 5 (Suspension of the Service)

The Service may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, failures, or other causes beyond the operator's control. Given the nature of a free service, the operator is not liable for damages arising from such suspension unless caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.

Article 6 (Membership Registration)

Membership registration is completed through Google or Kakao social login, or email authentication (magic link). Use may be restricted or membership revoked if registration was made using another person's information without authorization.

Article 7 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

The Service does not currently provide a self-service account deletion feature. To request withdrawal and deletion of your data, please contact us at the address below; we will process the request without delay (typically within 7 days of receipt).

Article 8 (Obligations of Members)

Members must comply with applicable law, these Terms, and the Service's usage guidelines, and must not engage in the following:

• Collecting or posting another person's personal information without authorization
• Interfering with the operation of the Service or placing an unreasonable load on its systems
• Sending abnormal or excessive requests via an API key to a degree that undermines the Service's stability

Article 9 (Use of the API and AI Integrations)

Members may use an issued API key to connect the Service with AI tools such as Claude. The API key may only be used by the member to whom it was issued and may not be transferred or shared with a third party; the member is responsible for any harm resulting from a leaked key. Deletion performed via an API key is limited to a recoverable soft delete — permanent deletion and recovery are only available on-screen while the member is logged in.

Article 10 (Rights to Content)

Rights to content that a member creates within the Service belong to the member. The operator accesses content only to the extent necessary to operate the Service, including providing the Service, performing maintenance, and responding to incidents.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

• As a free, individually-operated service, the operator is not liable, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for damages arising from use of the Service.
• Members are solely responsible for the content they post within the Service.
• Given the nature of the Service, unexpected data loss may occur; the operator continually works to improve reliability. Members are encouraged to separately back up important information.

Article 12 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)

• Members may request withdrawal of subscription and a refund within 7 days of the date of purchase of the "Unlimited Mind Map Plan."
• However, because the plan is applied and service delivery begins immediately upon payment, withdrawal may be restricted under Article 17(2) of Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. if the member has actually used the service after payment (for example, by creating additional mind maps under the unlimited plan).
• Refund requests are accepted at the contact address below and will be processed without delay (within 7 business days of receipt).
• If a purchased plan fails to apply correctly due to a service error or other cause not attributable to the member, a full refund will be issued regardless of the withdrawal period above.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)

In the event of a dispute relating to these Terms, the operator and the member will make good-faith efforts to resolve it amicably. If no resolution is reached, the dispute will be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction under applicable law.

Article 14 (Supplementary Provision)

These Terms take effect on 2026-07-18, except that Article 12 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds) takes effect on 2026-07-27.
